Since 1983
Ann established Dove Hill Labradors in 1983. Dove Hill, a historic estate, is the where the name Dove Hill originated. In the past, Ann bred English labradors that were ideally suited as family companions, service dogs, and hunting partners. She was even a consultant for the ATF helping to create a new type of bomb dog. BUT, after 50 years of devoting herself to Labradors, Ann and her legacy of labs are retiring. She will continue on with her beloved Norfolks.
Labrador Retrievers
Ann has bred all three colors of Labrador Retrievers since she was 14. Her love of dogs prompted a Bachelor of Science degree at Va Tech in Animal Science, where she concentrated on behavior and genetics. Ann has attained numerous performance and breed titles with her dogs. Over the years, Ann began to import some classic English bloodlines which have improved and strengthened her foundation blood. Her goal has been and continues to be .... to breed and maintain the perfect temperament for whatever your goals may be.
NOT A PUPPY MILL
Dove Hill is NOT a puppy mill. We are a serious small breeding kennel. We breed only a few litters each year. Consequently, a waiting list is usually on hand. Our small specialized size ensures lots of hands on for every dog, every puppy, every day. We are as dedicated to them as they are to us
